Our annual Harvest Banquet Celebration is coming up this Saturday. This is an amazing day where everything comes together and DIRT GROUP Participants begin the day with a rich experiential group skills training followed by the banquet where this year the menu includes a hog roast, turkey, potatoes, squash, green bean casserole, coleslaw, and pumpkin pie or apple pie for dessert! ! So proud of the gains DIRT GROUP participants have made in learning, practicing, and mastering important life and social skills!!! #SEL

Last year, I planted 362 garlic seed, 7 varieties. This year, accompanied 8 practitioners attending the charter DIRT GROUP Practitioner Certification Training, 24 hours total. Six hours each day immersed in theory, structure, principles, components, and implementation of group skills training with the goal of increasing social competencies thereby increasing mental health through social competence, problem solving, social inclusion, a sense of purpose, pride & ownership including redundant opportunities to learn, practice, and master important life and social skills in the context of a gardening and farming project.
